- The nib opens under gentle pressure. Release that pressure before you change direction, and let the next upstroke become light again.
- 01 Upstroke: touch the page lightly and move away from yourself.
- 02 Downstroke: add steady pressure while drawing the pen towards you.
- 03 Release: ease the pressure before the line changes direction.
- Practise: make five slow pairs. Pause between each one.
